Continually practicing and utilizing the computer is the most effective way to become technologically proficient. However, not everyone can afford the latest technology. In fact, some older computer equipment serves people's uses just fine. And it's a shame to throw away perfectly functioning equipment when there is such a demand for it. In ELTC's Computer-Aid Program we collect, refurbish and distribute used (recycled) computer hardware to our clients.
What we accept as far as PC donations (both desktops and laptops):
Help us help those in need and have your used computers continue to lead a useful life!
If the donor is unsure of specs, usually one of these measures is good:
We will also accept USB mice/keyboards, speakers (WITH power cord), networking equipment, color laser printers (that work), flat panel LCD monitors, and CRT (big ones) only accepted if part of a PC/Monitor donation combo.
What we DON’T accept:
Before donating your computer to ELTC, it is a good idea to back-up any personal data as we do a full hard disk wipe to make sure that no data from your ownership remains.
