The Commission recognizes those individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves by making outstanding contributions for the betterment of the community. In particular, those who advance the human dignity of minority and/or disadvantaged citizens in Fort Collins.
El Pomar honors the state's best non-profit organizations. In 1995 and 1996, ELTC received an El Pomar Foundation's "Award for Excellence" nomination for Human Services in the Family Division.
In 1991, President George H. Bush recognized the ELTC as a "Point of Light." The Daily Point of Light is a national tribute to every American who makes a positive difference by successfully addressing our most pressing social problems through community service.
Your Dollars Make a Difference in People's Lives. The Education & Life Training Center is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. All contributions are tax deductible. ELTC is also a designated Larimer County Enterprise Zone project. This means that when you make a donation to ELTC, you can receive a state tax credit to reduce your Colorado State tax liability.
